The study titled “Changing Lifestyles and Eating Habits of Urban Indian Consumers Post-Covid-19” has revealed that people found significant changes in their breakfast and eating habits. London-based market research companies Euromonitor International and PepsiCo India conducted A special study through brand Quaker from March 2020 to February 2021.
They revealed from this study that 44% of urban millennials did not have breakfast and ate late because of the burden of household chores, which led to a late start of the day’s work. The study also revealed that during COVID-19, the consumption of whole grains comprising fruits, vegetables, and oats has increased.
64% of urban youth participants are more cautious about a healthy immune system. They have revealed in this study that 71% of the city youth showed their inclination towards a superb physique. For this, he is also including Keto, Intermittent Fasting, and Weekly Detox Plan, in his life.
Regarding nutritional changes in Indians, Vidhi Sharma, Consultant, Euromonitor International, said, ‘While today’s youth understand the importance of breakfast and believe that it should be complete nutrition, they often skip breakfast due to their work schedules. Do not do it or else take a snack in a hurry. This habit of skipping breakfast is also getting support because of popular fat diets. But Covid-19 has promoted positive nutritional habits among the youth, and now the youth are also consuming more fruits, salads, oats, etc.
Let us inform you that they did this study on 1000 participants in the age group of 18-50 years, these young participants were from Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Kolkata. In this study, conducted on the occasion of National Nutrition Month 2021, they analyzed the changing lifestyle and eating habits to understand consumer behavior post-Covid-19.
