The survey was conducted by a research advisory firm Ipsos India between March 5 and 25, 2021. According to this survey, 78 percent of the participants felt that nutritious and healthy snacking is very important.
In the survey, 58 percent people said snacking was very important in the changing lifestyle and 20 percent people said it was very important. The goal of this survey was to find out how far the preferences of Indian youth change in the midst of the rapidly evolving modern lifestyle.
The survey results show that Indian youth are very serious about taking care of their health and this is what is driving the youth to change their snacking habit. The survey also revealed how more and more young people in India are trying almonds and fruits as an alternative to healthy and nutritious snacks instead of high-calorie junk foods. According to the information, these surveys were conducted in many parts of the country.
A total of 4148 people in the age group of 18 to 35 years, men and women were asked questions and answers in 12 cities of India. These 12 cities of India include Delhi, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Jaipur, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Bengaluru, Coimbatore and Ahmedabad. Almond has emerged as the number 1 choice of Indian youth in the survey. 64 percent of the survey participants said that considering the regular health benefits of eating almonds, they considered eating almonds as a snack option.
The participants in the survey selected almonds as their favorite snack, mainly influenced by taste, health and nutritional value. It also revealed an interesting fact that 41 percent of the youth of Generation Z and Millennials described almonds as nutritious. 39 per cent said healthy, 38 per cent protein-rich and 36 per cent youths said it was vitamin-rich.

It was also interesting to find that 41 percent of the youth of Generation Z and Millennials rated almonds as nutritious. 39 per cent said healthy, 38 per cent protein-rich and 36 per cent youths said it was vitamin-rich. 84 percent of the people who participated in the survey believe that eating almonds regularly increases immunity, due to which eating almonds has become even more important.Nearly 50 per cent of the survey participants said that apart from almonds, they have also included green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits and juices in their snacking routine.
