Many parts of western Uttar Pradesh are witnessing a steady increase in the cases of dengue, mysterious fever, and viral fever. Officials say that these diseases are specifically infecting children. According to different reports, over 100 people have died due to these diseases, out of which have reported the highest number in Firozabad and Mathura near Agra.

They have now identified the mysterious fever as Scrub Typhus. It is a vector-borne disease that affects the central nervous system, cardiovascular system, kidneys, the process of breathing, and the process of gas in the body. It starts with fever and rashes. Many people living in Uttar Pradesh informed on the survey organization Local circles that someone in their family is suffering from Covid-like symptoms. To understand how the situation has changed in the last 15 days, the Local circle conducted another survey. In this survey, 7,449 responses were received from people of 48 districts of Uttar Pradesh. Highlights of the survey:

In Uttar Pradesh, 34% of households have one or more members currently suffering from flu-like symptoms. In response to this question, 66% of the people said no, no one is sick in the house. 19% said that only one member of the household has symptoms. 10% said that 2-3 members in the household have symptoms. At the same time, five percent said that four or more members have symptoms.

But, in 15 days, there has been a 240% increase in the number of families in which one or more persons are currently suffering from flu/viral fever-like symptoms. Even before this, a survey conducted by The Local circle on August 21, 2021, indicated that 10% of households in Uttar Pradesh have one or more members who are currently suffering from flu-like symptoms. In the survey, 7,749 reactions were received from the people of 48 districts of Uttar Pradesh. Among the participants, 69% were male while 31% were female. They surveyed the Local circle platform. All the participants were valid citizens who had to be registered with the local circles to participate in this survey.
